How this site corrects itself.

A short, plain statement of how errors are handled, how each piece of writing is dated, and how older material, including writing from the COVID-19 pandemic, is presented today.

How writing is dated

Every article and page on this site carries the date it was written, or the date it was last reviewed. Where a piece was written for a specific moment, a conference, a broadcast, a public-health emergency, that original date is kept. It is never replaced with the date it was republished here.

PANDEMIC-ERA WRITING Original date, unchanged. Articles written during the COVID-19 pandemic keep the date they were first published. They are presented as general information from that period, not as medical advice, and not as a current clinical recommendation.
